Inheritance and Wills

Disputes over Wills are quite frequent, and usually the result of someone feeling they have been inadequately provided for.

Common reasons for Will disputes are also where the Will does not meet the strict legal requirements for it to be valid, where the terms of the Will are uncertain, or where the terms cannot be carried out.

Unfortunately, when any of these things arise, they often need to be resolved by the Court.

Actions of executors and trustees of Wills can also be disputed, especially where beneficiaries believe they have not carried out their legal duties. When this happens, the Court can instruct them to appoint new trustees or executors, or to account to or compensate the beneficiaries.

Well respected in the areas of estate litigation and Will disputes, we understand the stresses and difficulties you face when a Will is in dispute, and will work with you to achieve the most expedient resolution possible.
