Partner, Dispute Resolution

Rachel is the Partner leading the litigation team for Gibson and Gibson. She has more than 10 years experience in dispute resolution across areas including employee and workplace relations, property disputes, professional negligence, trade practices, inheritance, breaches of contract, sports and recreational club law.

Joining Gibson and Gibson in 1998 and admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of WA in 1999, Rachel has championed causes for individuals, groups of individuals and unions both in and out of Court. Her impressive portfolio of success includes acting for a group of 40 plaintiffs against a large well-known financial corporation, acting for franchisees against franchisors, resolving complex partnership disputes and recovering significant damages awards for medical negligence claimants and people who have been discriminated against at work.

Dedicated to the welfare of the individual, Rachel shows a strong track record of social and community involvement. During her career she has volunteered her services at the Employment Law Centre, was an inaugural member of the committee of the Women’s Law Centre, has served on the disciplinary tribunals of amateur sporting bodies and chaired the management committee of a women’s refuge. She is currently a member of Women Lawyers WA and the Law Society of WA.

In addition, Rachel is deeply committed to the professional and personal development of all staff at Gibson and Gibson, and continually strives to provide a wide and varied body of work to challenge her team and attract and retain new talent into the firm.
